In a conversation, one-on-one, with one of my new staff recently, I was playing the manager role and talking positively about change, blah blah blah. I was delighted when the employee said, with some cute mannerisms, kind of tossing her hair except her hair did not move, and pulling the palm of her hand to her heart, she said, "The way I see it, they pay me. If I paid them, I'd do what I want to."
I just loved that. "They pay me. If I paid them, I'd do what I want to."
