Slightly Different Note

I didn't get to watch Dr. Who last night, so I'm quite anxious to see it when I get back. My Tivo should also have Monday night's The Closer and Amazing Grace. The commercials are counting down to The Closer's season finale, which doesn't seem right because I swear the season just started. Something about the telly seasons these days is really ticking me off. Shows used to go off in the summer and come back on in the Fall with school. Battlestar Galactica went off who knows when and isn't coming back til sometime in '08. The Closer is going off in the Fall, but Dr. Who just came back on. House & Boston Legal are both off right now. I don't like this at all. I noticed on SciFi they are starting reruns of Dr. Who from the very beginning, and I so want to get a few of them for My Fella. I'm hoping to get him hooked.

Work is going fine. It's nothing exciting, but it's fine. I'm not miserable, I don't dislike it, but it's not particularly fun or exciting. The plus is, there's a paycheck every two weeks, I like my boss, it has insurance and 401K, and all my employees seem pretty decent, except maybe one.

My Fella's brother is having his cataract surgery on Wednesday of this week. I think everyone is thrilled it's been moved up. The sooner it's done, the sooner he can get back to seeing.

That's it.

The tv seasons being as screwy as they are nowadays both bothers the living hell out of me and tickles me pink. I have about two solid weeks of tv a year when there's nothing on and I like that. It used to be three or four solid months. I could get a lot more done around the house if they didn't put new shows on during the summer.
